She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and three sisters, Mary Smith, Barbara Moore, and JoNella Sabri.
Naomi was very involved in both her children and grandchildren's lives, first as President of the School Club, room mother, den mother, and baseball team sponsor. As well as the owner of the Dairy Dream Ice Cream Stand, and head cook for District 50 schools when her children were young; and later as the "go to" grandma for her grandchildren, whether it was watching them before and after school, doing homework with them, playing games, running them to and from whenever needed, and going to their various school and sporting events. Naomi liked to crochet baby blankets and did so not only for her grandchildren but also had the foresight to make enough baby blankets for her great grandchildren as they are born. It was a common occurrence for people to ask her to make baby blankets as gifts for their friends and families. In addition, she also bought a Christmas tree ornament every year for each of her grandchildren with the intention of then giving them to them as wedding gifts to start their own family Christmas trees with. She enjoyed reading, word games, crocheting, playing on the computer, and visiting with friends and family. She always had her goody jar filled and ready for whoever strolled in to visit. She was loved by everyone and was known as "Mom" or "Gramma" to her children's and grandchildren's friends. Naomi was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to all who knew her.
