Obituary PEORIA HEIGHTS - Nancy J. Thaller, 64, of Peoria Heights, died at 7:52 am Friday, March 23, 2007 at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria. Born on April 12, 1942 in LaHarpe, IL to Robert Wayne and Betty Blanche Bundy Melvin, she married Stephen P. Thaller Sr. on November 9, 1968 in Peoria, IL. He preceded her in death on April 19, 2002 in Peoria, IL. Surviving are 2 daughters, Nan (Russ) Hines of Washington, IL and Mindy (Tim) Landrith of Deer Creek, IL, 2 sons, Stephen (Denise) Thaller Jr. of East Peoria, IL and Anthony (Amy) Thaller of Marquette Heights, IL, 4 step-daughters, Retta (Michael) Fulscher of Middletown, IL, Rose (Karl) Bain of Farmington, IL, Alice (Louis) Nelson of Manito, IL and Stephanie (Michael) Gunterman of Delavan, IL, 1 step-son, Everett (Patricia) Thaller of Easton, IL, 2 sisters Connie Allsup of Peoria Heights, and Linda (Lon) Carr of Peoria, IL, 1 brother, Darrel Melvin of Peoria, 24 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents and 3 grandsons. Nancy was a Cook/Cashier for District 150 at the Richwood High School Cafeteria for 18 years. She was a member of the Illinois Federation of Teachers Local #6099. She loved being a mother and grandmother and enjoyed sewing and camping. She also was a racing fan. Services will be at 6:00 pm Tuesday, March 27, 2007 at Deiters Funeral Home in Washington. Visitation will be from 4-6 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Cremation rites will be accorded and burial will be private at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association or to the American Diabetes Association.
