Monte Geltmaker Ibler, 69, of Peoria Heights, formerly of Washington, passed away at 8:40am Monday, May 3, 2021 at Aperion Care in Peoria Heights. Monte was born November 19, 1951 in Peoria to Donald "Fuzz" Geltmaker and Caroline (Ward) Geltmaker Wallace Surviving is her son, Josh Ibler of Washington; brother, Mark (Chris) Smith of Mission, TX; nieces and nephew, Molly Smith, Carrie Ann Slick, and Ben Smith; and her step-father, Donald Wallace. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Roxan Slane. Monte worked as a bookkeeper for several area car dealerships and was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Post 100. She was also a member of Richwoods Christian Church, where she was baptized. A private service will be held and inurnment will be at Glendale Cemetery in Washington. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Illinois CancerCare Foundation.
