Obituary Molly R. Sweeney, 34, formerly of Washington, passed away on December 12, 2015 at 2:55P.M. in Washburn. Molly was born on July 24, 1981 in Metamora to Robert L. and Karen S. Lyons Sweeney. She is survived by her three sons, Micah, Caleb and Noah; mother, Karen (Dion) Miller of Princeville; siblings, Chris (Shari) Sweeney of Marquette Heights, Josh (Katie) Sweeney of Round Lake Beach, IL, Nate (Monica) Sweeney of Centerton, AR, and Amy Sweeney of Washington; step-brothers, Cole Miller of East Peoria and Jake Miller of Princeville; step-sister, Jessie Miller of Princeville; maternal grandmother, Sis Lyons of East Peoria; nieces and nephews, Ashley (Kevin), Carl, Cameron, Elijah, Zoey, Lucas, Jacob, Emily, Emma, Jillian, Nathanial, Josiah, Autumn, Hailey, Lylah, Aaliyah, and Jaxson. She was preceded in death by her father, maternal grandparents, Floyd and Martha Lyons and paternal grandparents, William and Dorothy Sweeney. Molly graduated from Peoria Christian School in 2000. She was a great cook and enjoyed her time in the kitchen; she attended and graduated from South Side Mission Culinary Program in February of 2011. Molly loved her sons and always cherished her time with them. She leaves behind her cat, Grey, who earned her name from her favorite TV series, Grey's Anatomy. She was a Marvin the Martian fan for many years, and even shared her birthday with the date he was created. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a Memorial Fund for the Children of Molly Sweeney c/o Washington State Bank, 1110 Peoria St, Washington, 61571. A funeral service for Molly will be held on Friday, December 18, 2015 at 2:00P.M. at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in East Peoria. Pastor Nate Sweeney will officiate. A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 17, 2015 from 5:00PM-7:00PM at the funeral home, and an additional visitation from 1:30PM-2:00PM on Friday.
