Obituary Minnie Jane Mason, 97, of East Peoria, formerly of Chillicothe, passed away at 9:55 am Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2017 at Rosewood Care Center in East Peoria. She was born March 29, 1920 in Peoria to Raymond and Clara Auth Hemmele. She married Willard Mason in Peoria in 1941. He preceded her in death on April 29, 2003. She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Dennis "Scott" Mason; and daughter, Sharon Minor. Surviving are her daughter-in-law, Janice Mason; 3 grandchildren, Tanya Frost, Jodi Knox, Jeffrey Mason; 2 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Rae Marie Smith. She was a member of the Chillicothe First United Methodist Church where she served as treasurer of the ladies guild for many years. Services will be private. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is in charge of arrangements.
