Obituary
EAST PEORIA- Milton G. Curry, 88, of East Peoria, Illinois died at 3:30 AM Monday, January 2, 2012 at his home.
Born on November 22, 1923 in Kankakee, Illinois to William A. and Mabel L. Meeks Curry, he married Martha Ann Colvin on October 8, 1950 in Peoria, IL. She survives.
Also surviving are 1 son, Michael R. (Rhonda) Curry of Olathe, KS; 1 daughter, Julie Curry (Bill Sipp) of Cherokee, KS; and 2 grandchildren, Matthew and Zachary Curry of Olathe, KS.
He was preceded in death by 1 brother, Bill.
Milton was a US Army veteran serving in the North African, Sicilian, and Italian Campaigns during World War II.
Milton started at Caterpillar Tractor Co. in 1945, graduated from the apprenticeship program, and retired from the research department in 1981, after 36 years of service. Milton was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Peoria and National Rifle Association. His favorite passion was fishing for walleye on Otter Tail Lake in Minnesota.
There will be a graveside service at 11 AM Thursday, January 5, 2012 at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria. Pastor Jim Gorby will officiate. Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory in East Peoria is assisting the family with arrangements.
