Millard Hughlon Wade, 88, of Washington, passed away at 2:50 pm Friday, December 25, 2020 at Reflections Memory Care in Washington.
He was born February 29, 1932 in Henderson, TN to the late Millard and Gertie Bennett Wade. He was also preceded in death by an infant son, Richard; and two sons, Landon Wray Wade and Lance Gray Wade.
He married Annie M. Lambert in MS on February 25, 1950. She survives. Also surviving are five children, Candy Kay (Todd) Glore, Oveta Faye Wade, Kevin Clay (Debra) Wade, Keith Jay (Debbie) Wade, Robin Trey (Amy) Wade; seventeen grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Millard was a United States Navy Veteran of the Korean War. After the service he went to work at Caterpillar Inc. as a machine operator, retiring at the age of 57 after 30 years of service.
He was a life member of the NRA, an avid gun collector, enjoyed watching boxing and traveling with Annie. He will be dearly missed.
Visitation with 10 visitors at a time with face coverings and social distancing will be from 2 to 4 pm Sunday, January 3, 2021 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. Private burial will be at Parkview Cemetery in Peoria.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
