Obituary Mildred I. Paris, 88, of Washington, IL died at 6:47 pm Monday, February 3, 2014 at her home. Born on December 30, 1925 in Harrisburg, IL to Ralph and Beedy Abney Temple, she married Maxie "Ray" Paris Sr. on November 28, 1946 in Morganfield, KY. He preceded her in death on June 16, 2002 in Washington. Surviving are 1 son, Max (Robin) Paris Jr. of East Peoria, IL 1 daughter, Jill (Charlie) Parod of Morton, IL, 1 sister, JoAnn Haywood of Metamora, IL, 5 grandchildren, Melody (Chris) Papazis, Melissa (Erik) Snyder, Joseph (Lindsay) Paris, Brandon (Erin) Parod, and Laura (Alex) Skaggs, and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 brother and 1 sister. Mildred worked at Springer-Burkland in East Peoria and later in Housekeeping at Fondulac Nursing Home in East Peoria. She was a member of Highview Church of God in Washington. Services for Mildred will be at 10 am Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. Pastor Ed Beasley will officiate. Visitation will be from 4-6 pm Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Garden in rural Morton.
