Obituary East Peoria- Mildred J. "Georgia" Kieler, 92, of Morton, formerly of Springfield Rd. in East Peoria, died at 1:35 PM Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at Rosewood Care Center in East Peoria, IL. She was born May 14, 1918 in Benton, IL to Stanton and Cecil (Martin) Jones. She married Max L. Kieler in 1940 in Missouri. He preceded her in death November 5, 1992 in East Peoria, IL. Also preceding her in death were a brother, Howard Jones and a sister Norma Jones. Surviving are; two daughters, Georgianna (Cletis) Groce of East Peoria and Suzette (Avan) Hall of Manito, IL; six grandchildren; one brother, Lawerence (Susan) Jones of Trenton, IL and one sister, Karen Jones of Benton, IL. Georgia was a homemaker and volunteered her time to VFW Post 2078 in East Peoria. She loved to fish and spent many winters with her husband in Florida. Her funeral service will be at 11:00 am Friday, September 10, 2010 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in East Peoria. Pastor Steve Hauter will officiate. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in East Peoria. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral beginning at 10:00 am.
