Obituary Mildred E. Dunn, 88, of Washington, IL passed away at 9:50 pm Saturday, December 26, 2015 at her home, surrounded by her loving husband and family. Born on December 13, 1927 in Elkhart, IL to Edmond Leslie and Myrtle Olive Ridgeway Dwyer, she married Lee R. Dunn Jr. on September 21, 1946 in Lincoln, IL. Lee survives. Also surviving are 5 children; Loren (Charlotte) Dunn of Raeford, NC, Steve Dunn (Marchelle Haworth) of Council Bluffs, IA, Kathy (John) Malson of Germantown Hills, IL, John Leslie (Starla) Dunn of North Pekin, IL, and Connie Jo (James) Klinkradt of Metamora, IL, 1 sister, Shirley (Dale) Tieman of Carlinville, IL, 12 grandchildren; David, Eric, Tracy, Jason, Eli, Jesse, Jeremy, Jason, Brittany, Morgan, Megan, and Aaron and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 1 son, Thomas Patrick Dunn, 1 grandson, Bryan Dunn, 3 brothers, Ed, Paul, and Bill, and 2 sisters, Nancy and Janet. Mildred volunteered at OSF St. Francis Medical Center for 16 years. She was a member of St. Patrick Church in Washington, and a former member of Sacre Coeur Church in Creve Coeur, where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society and worked Bingo. She enjoyed quilting, golf and bowling in the Sacre Coeur Ladies League. She dearly loved her husband of 69 years and was known for doting on her grandchildren. A funeral mass for Mildred will be at 10 am Thursday, December 31, 2015 at St. Patrick Church in Washington. Father Steve Willard will officiate. A visitation will be held from 4-6:30 pm Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington, where memories of mom will follow at 6:30 pm.
