Michael "Mike" D. Kneer, 74, of Washington, passed away Saturday, June 14, 2025 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

He was born September 10, 1950 in Peoria to the late Everett D. and Rose (Hietter Koller) Kneer.  He married Sandi Spoon in Camden, TN on September 29, 1969.  She survives.

Also surviving are two children, Michele (David) Holliday-Hedley and Ryan (Erica) Kneer; six grandchildren, Kayla, Claire, Austin, Erin, Alyssa and Ayden; five siblings, Connie (Hal) McIntosh, Deanna (Bob) Reeder, Bob (Lynn) Koller, Tim (Sue) Koller, Susan (Jim) Juskiv; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mike was a United States Army Veteran.  He worked at Mitsubishi Motors retiring as the General Manager of the paint department after 25 years of service.  He was an avid fisherman, enjoying many summers in Minnesota catching Bass and Northern Pike.  He also enjoyed woodworking, gardening and golfing.

He was a Deacon at Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church in Washington, and was involved with the food pantry there.

Visitation will be from 3:30 to 5:30pm Friday, June 20th at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington.  His funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 5:30pm with Military Honors.  Per his wishes, cremation will follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Pleasant Valley Food Pantry, Parkinson's Foundation, or TAPS no-kill animal shelter in Pekin.
