Obituary MARQUETTE HEIGHTS - Michael J. Barnewolt, 19, of Marquette Heights, IL, died at 11:20 am Sunday, September 19, 2010 in Bartonville, IL. He was born on November 6, 1990 in Peoria, IL to Christopher M. Barnewolt and Tracy L. Jording. He took great pride in being a father to his son, Caleb Creson of Farmington, MO and was looking forward to the birth of his second son, Carter Michael Barnewolt, due in October. Also surviving are Carter's mother, Morgan Miller of Pekin; his mother, Tracy Jording (Kenneth Schroppel) of Marquette Heights; his father, Chris Barnewolt of Pekin; 2 sisters, Felicia and Savannah Barnewolt, both at home; 1 half-sister, Bryana Barnewolt of Chillicothe; 1 half-brother, Kaden Barnewolt of Marquette Heights; 1 step-sister, Christina Schroppel of Peoria; maternal grandparents, Robert and Vickie Emmer of East Peoria; paternal grandparents, Mike and Suzanne Barnewolt of Rock Island, IL; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents. Michael graduated from Pekin Community High School in 2009 where he was on the wrestling team for 2 years, winning the Jim Stoudt Award. He also received the Tommy Hughs Scholarship. He then graduated from Midwest Technical Institute's welding program in 2010 and was currently a welder for Morton Industries in Morton, IL. Michael enjoyed hanging out with his family and friends doing outdoor activities including fishing, rafting, camping and tubing, but most of all he loved to eat! A service of remembrance will be at 10 am Friday, September 24, 2010 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in East Peoria. Visitation will be 4-7 pm Thursday, September 23, 2010 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Pekin, IL.
