Merrilou Myers, 80, of East Peoria, passed away at 11:05pm Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at the Apostolic Christian Home of Eureka.

She was born April 12, 1941 in Rosedale, IN to the late Freeman and Wilma Montgomery Chaney. She married Thomas J. Myers on December 27, 1967 in Terre Haute, IN.

Surviving are her husband, Pastor Tom Myers; her daughters, Angela (Randy) Herringer and Tammy Gregg Thomas; grandsons, Joshua and Tommy; and her siblings, Rose Marie, Monty, June, and Margie.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Barbie and Shirley.

Merrilou served over the years at several churches with her husband, and the last 23 years at Twin Oaks Missionary Baptist Church in East Peoria. She was an extremely strong woman and was always there to help anyone in need.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00am Saturday, January 8, 2021 at Twin Oaks Missionary Baptist Church in East Peoria. Visitation will be from 9-11:00am prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Twin Oaks Missionary Baptist Church.
