Matthew R. Reynolds, 40, of Creve Coeur passed away at 9:59 am Monday, May 24, 2021 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. He was born July 5, 1980, in Peoria to Marlan and Gwen Britnell Reynolds. Surviving are his parents, Marlan (Nance) Reynolds of Creve Coeur, and Gwen (Bryan) Evans of Washington; daughter, Audrey Mae Reynolds and her mother, Nicole Burgermyer of East Peoria; two sisters, Kara (Derek) Powers of East Peoria, Jessica Evans of Washington; nephew, Lucas Evans of Washington; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and his four legged companion, Bash. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Clinton and Mary Britnell; and paternal grandparents, Hesper and Audrea Reynolds. Matt graduated from Washington Community High School. He worked in food service in the Peoria area, last working at Pho Noodle House in East Peoria. He loved music and was an accomplished guitar player. He was a Chicago Bears fan, animal lover, enjoyed cooking, but his biggest joy was being a father to Audrey. Private services will be held at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to TAPS No-Kill Animal Shelter in Pekin.
