Matt Wells, 54, of Washington, passed away at 12:10pm at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria as the result of a work related injury. Matt was born on January 9, 1964 at St. Francis Hospital in Peoria, to David and Linda Audi Wells. He is survived by his mother, Linda Wells of Washington; his siblings, Michael, Michele, and Marc Wells; son, Jaymes Law; five nieces, two nephews; and several aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his father, David. Matt was a master carpenter and loved building things. He was an avid deer hunter and golfer, and loved dogs. A funeral service for Matt will be held at 6:00pm Monday, October 29, 2018 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. Visitation will be from 4-6:00pm Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be to the family.
