Obituary WASHINGTON-Mary M. Vericker, 92, of Washington, IL died at 5:20 am Thursday, March 31, 2011 at Fondulac Rehab & Health Care Center in East Peoria. Born on August 26, 1918 in Pana, IL to John and Mary Karnisky Rugis, she married Maurice Vericker in 1939. He preceded her in death in 1973. Surviving are 3 children, Bill Vericker of Washington, IL, Sharon Westuff of Hickory, NC, and Ralph Vericker of Tallahasse, FL. She was preceded in death by 3 sisters and 1 brother. Mary was a clerk at Bergner's in Peoria for over 20 years and was involved with Al-Anon for 25 years. She was also involved in Cursillo and the Charismatic Renewal. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Washington for over 50 years where there will be a funeral mass at 10 am Monday, April 4, 2011. Father Joseph P. Donton will officiate. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to mass at the church. Burial will be at Glendale Cemetery in Washington. Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington is assisting the family with arrangements.
