Obituary East Peoria- Mary M. (Gaylor) Thomas, 84, of East Peoria died at 9:05 AM on Saturday, September 16, 2006 at Proctor Hospital in Peoria, Illinois. Born February 11, 1922 in Shelbyville, IL to Everett and Juanita Holland Gaylor, she married Willard R. Thomas in 1940 in St. Charles, MO. He preceded her in death in 1999. Surviving are four children, Gary Thomas of East Peoria, William R. (Brenda) Thomas Sr. of Washington, Kenny E. (Sharon) Thomas of Tremont, and Barbara K. Thomas of Pekin; two brothers, Lloyd Gaylor of Falls Church, VA, and Earl Gaylor, of Atwood, IL; 11 Grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great Great Grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sons, Charles and Robert, and one brother, Dale. Mary and her husband owned and operated Thomas Disposal, Bill and Mary's Tap, and Tom's Tub, all located in East Peoria. She had been a member of the Church of Harmony in Peoria, and the Peoria Women's League. Mary also loved to dance. Mary's visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 PM Tuesday, September 19, 2006 at Deiters Funeral Home in East Peoria. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at Lockhart and Green Funeral Home in Shelbyville, Illinois. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Glenwood Cemetery in Shelbyville, Illinois.
