Obituary Mary Cecilia Swingle, 47, of Washington, IL died at 5:25 pm Thursday, October 20, 2011 at her home. Born on September 18, 1964 in Peoria, IL to Robert and Dorothy Lyons Gauf, she married Bob J. Swingle Sr. on June 15, 2001 in Peoria, IL. He survives. Also surviving is 1 son, Robert W. Pierce of Peoria, IL, 1 stepson, Robert J. (Barbara) Swingle Jr. of Washington, IL, 1 brother, Bernard (Cindy) Gauf of Virginia, 2 half-brothers, Jimmy (Renetta)Baker of Metamora, IL and Robert (Debbie) Baker of St. Louis, MO, and 2 grandchildren, Madison and Lucas. She was preceded in death by her parents. Mary worked at P.A.R.C. and X-PAC in Bartonville, and currently worked at SC2 in Bartonville. She enjoyed scrapbooking, arts and crafts, and also was a seamstress. She had a special love for animals. Services will be at 10 am Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in East Peoria. Msgr. James Kruse will officiate. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Monday, October 24, 2011 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria. Memorials may be made to TAPS.
