Obituary Mary G. Schappaugh, 87, of East Peoria, IL died at 12:28 am Thursday, July 4, 2013 at Kindred Transitional Care in Mansfield, TX. She was born to John and Gertrude Barnes Parish. Survivors include 1 son, Steve (Patty) Edwards of Morton, IL, 1 daughter, Candy (John) Whelan of Arlington, TX, 7 grandchildren, Eric (Julia) Noll, Ryan Noll, Nick (Chelsea) Noll, Nicole (Brandon) McMurtrey, Joshua (Kaleigh) Edwards, Brody Edwards, and Nick Edwards, 3 step-grandchildren, Kevin Nicholson, Jeff Whelan, and Kathryn Whelan, and 13 great-grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by 1 daughter, Sandra Kay Edwards, 3 brothers, and 1 sister. She worked in various restaurants in the Central Illinois area. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in East Peoria. Services will be at 10 am Friday, July 12, 2013 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Thursday, July 11, 2013 also at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Pekin, IL.
