Obituary Mary Ann Robards, 58, of Lincoln, IL and formerly of Washington, IL, passed away at 3:21 am Friday, May 6, 2016 at Symphony of Lincoln. Mary was born on June 27, 1957 in West Point, NY, the daughter of Herschel H. and Margaret A. Cox Robards. Her parents preceded her in death. Surviving are her sister, Alice of Washington, a niece and her host/foster parents, Ed and Keo Thompson of Washington and their children Evan and Rachel who considered Mary their sister. Mary attended EP!C day program in Peoria until she became ill in February of 2013. Mary loved to sing and dance and especially loved the TV show Glee. While with her host family she met Glee star, Chris Colfer and Teresa Scalan, who was the reining 2011 Miss America. Her graveside service will be at 11 am Friday, May 20, 2016 at Chillicothe City Cemetery in Chillicothe. Father Thomas Taylor will officiate. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is assisting the family with arrangements. Mary's family would like to thank the staff of Symphony of Lincoln for their loving and compassionate care.
