Obituary WASHINGTON ? Mary J. O?Mara Howell, 82, of Washington, passed away at 9:00 am Friday, January 18, 2008 at Manorcare at Riverview in East Peoria, IL. Mary was born in Fond Du Lac, WI., on August 13, 1925 to William E. and Helen Dougherty O?Mara. She married Robert C. Howell Jr. on August 12, 1950 in Fond Du Lac. He survives. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, James O?Mara and sister Katherine O?Mara Wagner. In earlier years, Mary went to school in Fond Du Lac, and during the years of WWII she moved to Tucson, AZ with her family and graduated from Tucson Senior High School. There she met her future husband. She then attended the University of Arizona. She was an active member of St. Patrick Church and School in Washington, where she was a teacher, librarian, and member of the Quilters Club. Mary will be missed by sons, Robert C. (Sharon) Howell III of Avon, IN and William E. (Debbie Lestina) Howell of Mackinaw, IL four grandchildren Sally (Doug Seals) Howell, Michael Howell, Erik Howell, and Lauren (Larry) Woodson. Mary was also loved by and will be missed by the family of Rafael and Mayra Monreal of Casa Grande, AZ, who will remember ?Maria? in their own Mexican-American Tristeza. A funeral mass will be at 10 am Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Washington. Father Mark Miller will officiate. Visitation will be from 5-7 on Tuesday at Deiters Funeral Home in Washington, with a prayer service at 6:45pm. Additional Visitation will be from 9:15-9:45 on Wednesday at the church.
