Obituary Henderson, Nevada - Mary Ellen (Burke) Dixon, loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend, accepted her assigned seat in the Kingdom of God on September 28, 2012. Mary Ellen was born on January 2, 1928 in Elgin, IL to William and Helen Burke. Middle of six children, she married Clyde Dixon on April 20, 1952 in East Peoria, IL where they resided and raised two sons. They moved to Galesburg, IL after retirement and then to Henderson, NV in 2011. Survived by her husband of 60 years, Clyde of Henderson NV; two sons, Tom and wife Dianna of Rock Island IL and Tim and wife Marcy of Henderson, NV; two sisters, Pat Dixon of East Peoria and Sandy Friedrich of Morton, IL; three grandchildren and three great- grandchildren. Funeral Service will take place at 10:00 AM Saturday, October 6, 2012 at Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory in East Peoria. Interment will take place in Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria. A Memorial Luncheon will follow. Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Friday from 5-7 PM and on Saturday from 9:30 AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, an account has been arranged for a Memorial in the name of Mary Ellen at Prestige Mira Loma, at her church, Christ the Servant Lutheran in Henderson NV, and for the continued care of her spouse, Clyde C.
