Obituary East Peoria - Mary "Molly" Arnold, 95, of East Peoria, died at 11:28 AM Saturday September 13, 2014 at UnityPoint Proctor Hospital in Peoria. She was born on March 21, 1919 in Stirling, Scotland to James and Isabel Rae Myles. She married Sheldon E. Arnold on August 4, 1945 in Dunfermline, Scotland. He preceded her in death on October 4, 1991 in East Peoria. She was also preceded in death by one grandson Anthony Arnold, two brothers and one sister. Molly is survived by her son, Walter (Mary) Arnold of East Peoria, her daughters, Rae Myles White of The Villages, FL and Lynn Ann (Mark) Elston of Winter Springs, FL, six grandchildren, Maria (Jeff) Shanine, Chris (Amy) Elston, Christine (Phil) Seneca, Amanda Elston, Andrew Arnold, and Molly Arnold and six great-grandchildren, Daniel, Lily, Elias, Thomas, Kate, and Liam. She was a member of East Peoria First United Methodist Church. Before she retired she worked at Treasures and Traditions in East Peoria. She loved gardening and working with arts and crafts. There will be a funeral service for Molly on Wednesday September 17, 2014 at 11 AM at East Peoria First United Methodist Church. Pastor Mary Arnold will officiate. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Fondulac Cemetery. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory is handling arrangements.
