Obituary

Marva D. Farden, 78, of Washington, passed away at 3:05am Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at Snyder Village in Metamora.

She was born March 25, 1944 in Clinton, IL to Amzy and Ione Schmitz Utter.  She married Marlin Craft, he survives.  She later married Irl Farden, he preceded her in death.  She was also preceded in death by her parents; one brother, and one sister.

Also surviving are two sons, Steve (Christine) Craft, Brett (Andrea) Craft; two step-sons, Todd (Tami) Farden, William (Michelle) Farden; granddaughter, Zoe Craft; step-granddaughter, LaTisha (Greg) Osman; step-great-grandson, Elijah Appenheimer; and sister, Chris Rubenacker.

Marva received her Masters' Degree in teaching and taught at East Peoria Community High School before retiring.

She was a member of the Lions Club in Crossville, TN for many years, loved to travel all across the United States, and enjoyed going to gospel concerts.  She will be dearly missed.

Cremation has been accorded.  Visitation will be from 4 to 6pm Monday, August 22, 2022 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington.  A private graveside service will be held at Hillcrest Memory Gardens in Morton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Lions Club.
