Obituary METAMORAa"Martha M. Helmuth, 94, of Metamora, formerly of Roanoke, died at 1:50 AM on Thursday, April 8, 2010 at Snyder Village in Metamora. Born on May 22, 1915 in Peoria, IL to Gottlieb and Katie Paluska Hasler, she married Robert P. Helmuth on May 17, 1941 in Peoria. He preceded her in death on February 25, 1983 in Peoria. Surviving is her daughter, Chris (Bob) Thommen of Washington; her granddaughter, Jodi (Jason) Swartzendruber, and 2 great grandsons, Logan and Nick, all of Tremont; and her sister, Mabel Krider of Dunlap. She was preceded in death by her parents and 3 brothers, Joseph, Samuel and Andrew. She was a member of Roanoke Methodist Church. Per Martha's wishes, there will be no services. Cremation rites have been accorded. Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington is assisting the family with arrangements.
