Obituary Martha A. Decker, 74, of Washington, formerly of Eureka, died at 11:31 AM Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Born on October 31, 1940 in Terre Haute, IN to Theron L. and Inez R. Taylor Elliott, she married Montie L. Decker on February 25, 1961 in Casey, IL; he survives. Also surviving are two sons, Timothy (Patty) Decker of Colfax and Daniel (Lynn) Decker of Brownsburg, IN; two daughters, Caroline (Douglas) Moore and Linda McGhee, both of Peoria; four grandchildren, Taylor, Elijah, Amanda, and Brady; three step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Norma Monson. Martha worked in the records office at Eastern Illinois University from 1960-1962. She then stayed at home to raise her family. Martha enjoyed bird watching and being outdoors. She also loved horses and music. Spending time with her grandchildren brought her great pleasure. Martha and her husband have been snowbirds in Florida since 1996. A Funeral Service will be at 11 AM Monday, July 6, 2015 at Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington. David Dundas will officiate. Visitation will be 4-6 PM Sunday, July 5, 2015 at the funeral home and hour prior to the service on Monday. Memorials may be made to Illinois CancerCare in Peoria.
