Obituary Marlyn Louise Millard, 86, of East Peoria, IL, died at 6:55 am Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Rosewood Care Center in East Peoria. Born on August 23, 1926 in Peoria, IL to H. Ray and Lula Burroughs Hannah Sr., she married Frederick "Fritz" Millard on February 5, 1947 in Mossville, IL. He preceded her in death on August 7, 2005 in Morton, IL. Surviving are 1 son, Jeffrey (Beth) Millard of Morton, IL, 6 grandchildren, Aaron Millard, Kedra (Bill) Smith, Shae (Scott) Harris, Tony Millard (Amy Ackerman), Seth (Kelly) Lopotko, and Kiyle (Joal) Stanfield, 13 great- grandchildren, Avery, Kaylor, Haley, Ashton, Easton, Colten, Jordan, Laila, Samdon, Jackson, Adah, Hayden, and Finch, and 5 siblings, Fran Adolphson of Edelstein, IL, Glen (Marge) Hannah of Mossville, IL, Ray (Marian) Hannah Jr. of East Peoria, Cora (Max) Atterberry of Mossville, IL and Keith (Marilyn) Hannah of Dixon, IL. She was preceded by a daughter, Kristy Lopotko and 2 brothers, Richard Hannah and Robert Hannah. Marlyn worked for East Peoria District #86 as a cook for 25 years, retiring in 1985. She was a member of the Mossville United Methodist Church. She will be remembered as a talented seamstress who enjoyed sewing for many family members. Marlyn and Fritz enjoyed ballroom dancing for many years and she enjoyed playing cards with friends. Marlyn had a special way with kids, children adored her. Her grandchildren enjoyed spending time with her and she with them. She and Fritz spent many trips out West and down South, enjoying friends and sunshine. Services for Marlyn will be at 10 am Monday, April 22, 2013 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in East Peoria. Pastor Kent Smith will officiate. Visitation will be from 2-4 pm Sunday, April 21, 2013 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
