Obituary EAST PEORIA-Marlin F. Pentecost, 94, of East Peoria, passed away at 7:21am Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at her home. She was born February 26, 1919 in Marion, IL to Harry and Bessie Fiske Malcolm. She married Joseph L. Pentecost on May 6, 1939 in St. Louis, MO. He preceded her in death on December 18, 1996. Surviving are her children, Carole (Robert) Cosby, Pensacola, FL; Larry (Sharon) Pentecost, Washington; and Susan Ledford, East Peoria; 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. She was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, and 1 granddaughter, Lisa Pentecost. Marlin enjoyed crocheting, and embroidery. She was an avid reader, especially mysteries. She was a dedicated homemaker and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Friday, June 21, 2013 at Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory, Washington. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Pastor Jim Gorby will officiate. Interment will be at Glendale Cemetery in Washington.
