Obituary Marlene M. Clark, 85, of East Peoria, IL died at 2:30 am Thursday, September 3, 2020 at Unity Point Methodist in Peoria, IL. Born on August 3, 1935 in Peoria, IL to Cyrinus R. and Loretta L. Melcher Schmidt, she married Edward R. Clark on August 3, 1957 in Peoria, IL. He preceded her in death on January 4, 2018 in Peoria. Surviving are 1 daughter, Lynne Clark of East Peoria, and 3 sister-in-laws, Joanne Schmidt of Philo, IL, Carol Schmidt of East Peoria, IL, and Edna Braten of East Peoria, IL, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Don and Dale and 1 sister Patricia. Marlene worked as the housekeeper at St. Monica's Church in East Peoria for over 30 years, where she was also a member. Cremation rites will be accorded, and there will not be any services. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is assisting the family with arrangements.
