Marjorie M. Cleveland, 97, of Peoria, formerly of Morton and East Peoria, passed away at 4:53pm Saturday, July 15, 2023 at Bickford House in Peoria.

She was born August 26, 1925 in Peoria to the late Leonard and Margaret Marsh Parnham. She married LeRoy Cleveland on July 3, 1943; he preceded her in death in 2004.

Surviving are her sons, Gary (Sue) Cleveland and William (Julie) Cleveland; grandchildren, Matt (Sara) and Brett (JR); great-grandchildren, Carter and Aiden; and her sisters, Mary, Annie, and Carol.

She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Heather, and her siblings, Bud, Nancy, Phyllis, Joy, Betty, and Ruth.

Marge was a wonderful wife and mother, enjoying caring for her family and cooking for them. She loved to travel, golf, garden, and read. She worked for a time at Carson Pirie Scott and enjoyed retirement years in Florida with LeRoy.

Cremation rites have been accorded and inurnment will be at Florida National Cemetery with her husband.
