Maripat Carr, 97, of Peoria, passed away peacefully at her home at 10:05 am Monday, July 18, 2022.

She was born April 3, 1925 in Chicago, IL to the late Patrick Mulkerrin and Josephine Margaret Rice.  She married William David Carr in Arlington Virginia on 12/10/1957.  He preceded her in death on 10/31/1975.  She was also preceded in death by one brother, and three sisters.

Surviving are two sons, Patrick David Carr and Allan David Carr.

Maripat enjoyed reading and spending time with her family.  She also created one of the first urban 4H clubs the Lucky Leprechauns and supported Fetal Alcohol Syndrome groups locally.  She will be dearly missed.

Cremation has been accorded.  A private graveside service will be held at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield, IL.  Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is assisting the family with arrangements.
