WASHINGTONa"Marion F. Gardner, 90, of Washington, died at 9:00 AM on Friday, April 13, 2007 at Snyder Village in Metamora.
Born on August 15, 1916 in Peoria, IL to Edward and Ellanora Wombacher Breymeier, she married Merrill C. "Red" Gardner on August 28, 1937 in Peoria. He preceded her in death on September 15, 1983.
Surviving is one daughter Kay C. (John) Lee of Washington; 5 grandchildren, Theresa (Buddy) Braun and their son Brandon; and Joseph E., Daniel D., George R. and Matthew J. Ioerger; and several great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 3 brothers.
Marion was an organist at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Washington for 45 years. She had been an organist in Brussels, Waterloo for 4 years and later in Bushnell, FL.
She enjoyed embroidery and bridge, as well as fishing and cooking and taking care of her family.
She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Washington, where a funeral mass will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday, April 18, 2007. Fr. Joseph P. Donton will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5 -7 PM on Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at Deiters Funeral Home in Washington, with a rosary service to begin at 6:45 PM. Additional visitation will be held one hour prior to mass on Wednesday. Burial will be at Glendale Cemetery in Washington. VIDEO TRIBUTE WILL BE PLACED ON WEBSITE AFTER VISITAION ON TUESDAY EVENING
