Obituary Marion Ann Bush, 91, of East Peoria died at 5:20pm, Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. Marion was born March 11, 1923 in Morrison County, MN to Peter and Marie Kaiser Salzbrun. She married Delbert Slocum on August 1, 1942 in Brainerd, MN; he preceded her in death on August 20, 1979. She later married Joseph Bush on September 29, 1990 in East Peoria; he passed away on January 10, 2003. Surviving are two sons, Dean Slocum of Lebanon, TN and Wayne (Lisa) Slocum of East Peoria; two step-daughters, Marilyn Fern Moore of The Colony, TX and Burnette Marie (Mark) Hill of Peoria; brother, Al Salzbrun of Tacoma, WA; grandchildren, Ryan (Ginger) Slocum of Pueblo, CO, Darci (Bob) Wertz of Morton, and Taylor Slocum of Pueblo, CO; 4 great-grandchildren, Isabella Rose and Jazmaine Marion, Grant Arthur and Colton Spencer; several step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, and step-great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, Roman and Gerald; 1 sister, Leona; and grandson, Tylor. She was a special education secretary for District #86 in East Peoria, retiring after 25 years of service in 1989. She was also a member of St. Monica Catholic Church in East Peoria, where she was a member of the Ladies' Guild and was active in the craft fair. A Funeral Mass for Marion will be held at 2:00pm, Friday, October 31, 2014 at St. Monica Catholic Church in East Peoria. Visitation will be two hours prior to the Mass at the church. Entombment will be at Resurrection Mausoleum in Peoria. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army. Cemetery Details Resurrection Cemetery & Mausoleum 7519 N.
