Obituary Marilyn S. "Mare" Stanford, 54, of Creve Coeur, formerly of East Peoria, passed away at 2:13pm Thursday, December 26, 2013 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was born February 21, 1959 in Glasgow, Scotland to Robert E. and Helen M. Griffin Schaub. She was later married to Gary L. Stanford, who died June 22, 2012. Surviving is her loving fianc of 13 years, Willie I. Wilson of Creve Coeur; her daughters, Denise (Danny) Richards of Canton and Ashley (Adam Healy) Stanford of Lincoln; grandchildren, Dominick and Sierra Richards; brother, Tom (Dianne) Schaub of Marquette Heights; and sisters, Dorothy (Steve) Musick and Joanne (Lee) McHenry, both of Morton. She was preceded in death by her parents, and 2 sisters, Pat Donahoe and Teresa Corp. Mare worked various jobs in the area, most recently as a caretaker and home health aide for the elderly. She enjoyed camping and going out to eat with Willie. Funeral services will be held at 10:30am Thursday, January 2, 2014 at Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory, East Peoria. Visitation will be from 5-7pm Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at the funeral home. Interment will be at Fondulac Cemetery, East Peoria.
