Marilyn Stamerjohn, 93, of Peoria, formerly of East Peoria, passed away on January 15, 2023 at Proctor Place Senior Living in Peoria.

She was born on January 28, 1929 to the late John W. and Bessie M. (Fash) Reeser in Peoria. She married Frederick Stamerjohn on September 4, 1948 in Peoria. He survives.

Marilyn is also survived by her son; David (Patricia Palmer) Stamerjohn of Pekin; her daughter; Sandy (John) Harvey of Peoria; and her son-in-law; Tim Booth of Canton. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by one daughter; Tammy Booth; her brothers; John and Earl Reeser; and her sisters; Marge Burk and Dorothy Neptun.

Marilyn had a passion for helping others. She was a teacher's aide at District 86 in East Peoria. She was part of the Fondulac Golf league. She was also a member of the Salem Lutheran Church in Peoria.

Visitation for Marilyn will be held from 9:30 - 11 am on Friday January 20th at Salem Lutheran Church in Peoria. The funeral service will follow at 11 am. Burial will be at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is assisting the family with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Salem Lutheran Church Endowment Fund, or South Side Mission in Marilyn's memory.
