Obituary Marilyn L. Salzer, 76, of East Peoria, IL, passed away at 1:50 pm Sunday, Jan. 24, 2016 at her home with her family by her side. She was born July 24, 1939 in Peoria, IL to Frederick and Beulah Baker Wageman. She married Robert Salzer in Peoria on June 22, 1957. He survives. Also surviving are five children, Mark (Sheila) of Manito, Gary (Lisa) of Washington, Denise (Dave) Schwenk of Normal, Eric (Heather) of East Peoria, Diane (Dave) Ogg of Bloomington; 11 grandchildren, Josh Herren, Jenny (Steve) Cripe, Jared (Mindy) Salzer, Emily (Trace) Duncan, Olivia Salzer, Anna Schwenk, Megan (Nate) McClintick, Evan Schwenk, Andrew Schwenk, Adam Salzer, William Salzer; 5 great-grandchildren, Jada Cripe, Bailey Salzer, Riley Salzer, Noah Duncan, Piper Duncan; and her sister, Donna (Larry) Buchanan of East Peoria. She was preceded in death by her parents; and son, James. Marilyn was a homemaker and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be dearly missed by all. She was a member of Bayview Baptist Church in Washington where her funeral service will be held at 11 am Friday, Jan. 29, 2016 with Pastor Keith Thibo officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 pm Thursday, Jan. 28, 2016 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in East Peoria. Burial will be at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
