Marilyn Roberds, 84, of Washington, passed away at 1:53am Saturday, March 4, 2023 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Marilyn was born February 15, 1939 in Bradford, PA to the late Mark and Irene Cuneen Foote. She married Arlan Roberds in 1961 in Robinson, IL.

Surviving is her husband, Arlan; their son, Mark Roberds; grandchildren, Tara Cherry, Amy Matters, and Danny  Roberds; great-grandchildren, Emma, Owen, Lincoln, and Charlie; and her siblings Janis Bond and David Foote.

Early in her marriage, Marilyn was a homemaker. She went on to teach at Faith Lutheran Child Care for many years, a job she loved. She was a longtime member at St. Monica's Catholic Church, where she was a Eucharistic minister and director of music. She and Arlan especially enjoyed serving as a duet together. Marilyn loved to travel at home and abroad. Some of her favorite places were Assisi, Italy and the Grand Teton National Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Monica's Giving Tree.

A memorial Mass for Marilyn will be scheduled at a later date.
