Marianne Grigsby, 91, of East Peoria, passed away at 2:26 pm Monday, June 10, 2019 at her home with her family by her side. She was born November 18, 1927 in Nuernberg, Germany daughter of Johann "Hans" and Anna Maenner Boesl. She married Robert Edward Grigsby in Germany on October 16, 1948. He preceded her in death on August 25, 1992. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Else Foettinger. Surviving are her daughter, Christine Grigsby of Davenport, IA; son, Robert Grigsby of Peoria; grandson, Sean Michael Watts of Morton; great-grandson, Brenden Michael Watts; sister, Christine Herman of Cape Haze, FL; brother-in-law, Geo Foettinger of Germany; and several nieces and nephews. Marianne retired from Bergners in 1992. She was a life member of the German American Society. She enjoyed spending time with her family and will be dearly missed. Cremation rites have been accorded, there will be no services.
