Obituary Margie R. Brown, 95, of East Peoria, formerly of Peoria, Dunlap and Chillicothe, passed away at 6:40 pm Sunday, July 17, 2016 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was born June 3, 1921 in Memphis, MO to Paul Mathias and Mary Catherine Winn Riebel. She married Louis H. Brown on July 5, 1938 in Peoria. He preceded her in death on Dec. 20, 2003. She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Catherine Norton; son, Rex E. Brown; 1 great-grandson; 3 sisters and 3 brothers. She is survived by her son, Paul A. (Judy) Brown of Washington; daughter, Mary McFarlane of Washington; 9 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Margie had worked at Armour Packing Co. in Peoria, Vogels in Pekin and retired from Kroger. She was a member of Crossroads United Methodist Church in Washington. She enjoyed watching westerns on television and spending time with her family. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Midwest Affiliate. A funeral service for Margie will be held at 11 am Friday, July 22, 2016 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington with Pastor Dan Doty officiating. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 am Friday morning at the funeral home. Burial will be at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
