Obituary EAST PEORIAa"Margaret L. McGlothlin, 81, of East Peoria, died at 10:23 PM on Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at Proctor Hospital in Peoria. Born on June 29, 1927 in Peoria, IL to William and Ella Larson Nelan, she married Virgil L. McGlothlin on April 14, 1946 in East Peoria. He survives. Also surviving are 3 daughters, Joy (Tim) Vogel of East Peoria, Terry (Steven) Smith of Tremont, IL and Kris (Rich) Gafford of Pekin, IL; 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers and 1 sister. Margaret had been a member of the First United Methodist Church in East Peoria, where she had volunteered in the food pantry. She was also a member of the Rebekahs, and was a Girl Scout Leader. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, October 13, 2008 at the First United Methodist Church in East Peoria. The Rev. Mary Arnold will officiate. Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to services from 9-11 AM at the church. Burial will be at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
