Margaret Anne Howard, 87, of Peoria passed away at her home on Tuesday, May 21, 2024.

She was born August 4, 1936 in Peoria to John F. (Jack) and Emma M. (DeVries) Ehlen.  She married George W. Howard in Peoria on June 6, 1964 and joins him in heaven after his passing on September 13, 2022.  She was also preceded in death by her parents; and sister, E. Jean Cones.

Surviving are two children, John Howard and Emily Howard-Gant; granddaughter, Marilyn Howard; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Margaret Anne worked for a short time at Caterpillar, Inc. and her best job of all was that of mother and homemaker.

She was a member of Forrest Hill United Methodist Church in Peoria and a member of the Woodruff High School alumni association. Spending time traveling and at car shows with George, cross stitching, and visiting with friends and family were things she enjoyed greatly.  She and her contagious laugh will be dearly missed.

Cremation has been accorded. Private services will be held at a later date. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is assisting the family with arrangements.
