Margaret M. "Peggy" DeBolt, 92, of East Peoria, formerly of Peoria, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2026 at Carle Health Methodist in Peoria.

She was born October 11, 1933 in Henry to the late Lawrence and Ida (Carroll) Ransom.  She married Orie DeBolt in Henry on December 17, 1953.  He preceded her in death on December 23, 2020.  She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Wendy Martin.

Surviving are two children, Ruth Parks, Jim (Nancy) Austin; eight grandchildren, Rachel Weddel, Josh Hutton, Jared Hutton, Roxanne Heinhorst, Hunter Parks, Natalie Wendelin, Leslie Peters, Jeff Austin; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Peggy worked as a clerical assistant at the Methodist School of Nursing before retiring.  She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.  She will be dearly missed.

Per her wishes cremation has been accorded.  There will be no services at this time.  Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is assisting the family with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to T.A.P.S. No-kill animal shelter in Pekin.
