Obituary Germantown Hills - Marcia J. Clausen, 59 of Germantown Hills died at 7:47 AM on Friday July 18, 2014 at Richard L. Owens Hospice House in Peoria. She was born on the fourth of July in 1955 in LaSalle, IL to Vincent and Ann Conners Gerace. Her father preceded her in death. Marcia is survived by her mother Ann of LaSalle, her husband Robert Clausen of Germantown Hills, her son Matthew Clausen of Lexington, VA, her daughter Margo Clausen of Germantown Hills and one brother Paul Gerace of Mendota. Marcia graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University in 1977 with a Bachelor degree in Biology. She then worked 21 years as a Medical Technologist at Methodist Hospital before staying home to raise her two children. She attended Harvest Bible Chapel in East Peoria where there will be a memorial service on Friday July 25, 2014 at 7 PM. Pastors Tim Harkness and Kent Smith will officiate. There will be a visitation from 5-7 PM that day at the church. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is handling arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Virginia Military Institute Foundation which will be used for missionary outreach by post chaplains.
