Obituary Maglinda "Pead" Mitchell, 66, of Creve Coeur, died at 11:35 AM, on Wednesday, April 11, 2007 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL. She was born on March 19, 1941 in Taylorville, Illinois to Ace Albert and Hattie Loraine Henry Edwards. She married Terry Mitchell on August 17, 1978 in Goodfield, Illinois; he survives. Surviving are 4 sons, Harry O'Brien of Pekin, IL, Henry O'Brien of East Peoria, IL, Lee O'Brien of Creve Coeur, IL, and William Volk of Creve Coeur, IL; 2 daughters, Bambi (Jim) Montgomery of Lewistown, IL, and Reggie O'Brien of Creve Coeur, IL; step son, Harry 'Butch' (Pam) Volk of East Peoria, IL; sister, Phyllis (Herman) Blackledge of Creve Coeur, IL; brother, Robert (Betty) Oxford of Norris City, IL; 14 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters and 1 great grandson. Maglinda was baptized in Levee Pond Pentecostal Church. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, April 14, 2007 at Deiters Funeral Home in East Peoria. The Pastor Bill Lee will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria, IL. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
