Obituary
Peoria - Mace Brakebill, 49 of Peoria, died at 3:35 PM on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at the home of his sister, Denene. He was born on November 8, 1963 in Peoria to Jerry L. and Ruth Robinson Brakebill. They preceded him in death. He is survived by two sisters; Denene (Charles) Ricks of Peoria and Stephany (Jerry) Coffman of Bellevue, one brother, Jerry B. Brakebill of Peoria, two nephews, Joshua (Deanna) Gallion of Bellevue and Joseph (Laura) Coffman of Champaign and several aunts and uncles. He is also survived by his loving dog, Bess, whom he loved to hunt and fish with.
Mace worked 28 years for Burklund Distributors in East Peoria as a stamper. He last worked July 30, 2013.
There will be a celebration of life for Mace on Saturday September 28, 2013 from 2-4 PM at Schooners on War Memorial Drive in Peoria. Cremation rites have been accorded and scattering of his cremated remains will take place on the Swanson River in Alaska by his friend Dan Meyer. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is handling arrangements.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to Peg from Methodist Hospice for the great care she showed Mace during his illness. There are angels on earth, and Peg... you are one of them. Also a special thanks to everyone at Burklund Distributors for all the love and kindness given to Mace through this time.
