Obituary East Peoria - Mabel Jean Petri, 82 of East Moline, IL, formerly of East Peoria, IL died Wednesday July 27, 2011 at 11:26 AM at Genesis East Hospital in Davenport, Iowa. She was born August 18, 1928 in Roodhouse, IL to William and Bessie Edwards Bishop. She married Edward D. Petri on April 6, 1963 in Peoria. He preceded her in death. Two brothers Keith and Nathaniel Bishop and one daughter Nancy Aiello also preceded her in death. She is survived by two sons, Steven (Vernon Large) Petri and John (Pam) Aiello, both of Peoria, two daughters, Lorraine (Rusty) St. Clair of East Moline and Shirley (Noel) Petri-Hartigan of County Cork, Ireland, one Brother Fred Bishop of Whitehall, three sisters Peggy Buster- Meyer of Pekin, Lolita (Dick) Suttles of Roodhouse and Judy Wyatt of Whitehall. Five Grandchildren and seven Great Grandchildren also survive. Mabel retired after fifteen years of school bus driving in the Peoria area. She was a homemaker, loving wife and mother, and wonderful grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, crafts and was famous for the many pictures of trees she drew. Mabel was of the Christian faith. In recent years she attended Intouch Adult Day Services in Moline, IL. There will be a public visitation from 1-3 PM on Thursday August 4, 2011 at the Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in East Peoria, followed by a private Family graveside service at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
