Obituary - M. Jean Nedland, 74, of Washington, IL died at 11:37 am Saturday, January 29, 2011 at her home. Born on February 10, 1936 in Lincoln, IL to William and Lois Teal Olson, she married Richard C. Nedland on October 1, 1955 in Pawnee, IL. He preceded her in death on December 31, 2009. Surviving is 1 son Russell S. Nedland of Washington, IL, 1 daughter, Marcia Nedland (Doug Dylla) of Ithaca, NY, 1 brother, William J. "Bill" (Jeanne) Olson of Carlinville, IL, and 1 sister, Dorothy "LeeLee" Adams of Divernon, IL. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Richard Nedland II and 1 sister, Florence Klemme. Jean was a member of the Home Extension in Washington for many years. She also attended the Hardees Coffee Group every morning. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, doing crafts, fishing, camping, and boating with her husband. They spent many winters in Texas. A memorial service will be at 2:00 pm Friday, February 4, 2011 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. Pastor Bob DeBolt will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Cremation rites have been accorded.
