Luana Allen, 75, of Washington, IL, passed away at 3:38am Friday, December 23, 2022 at UnityPoint Health Methodist in Peoria, IL.

She was born April 22, 1947 in New Mexico, the daughter of Doctors Lillian and Jesse Tipton.  Luana lived in New Mexico, Iowa, California, Chippewa Falls and Eau Claire, Wisconsin and Illinois.  She graduated from High School in California in 1965 and attended Bryant and Stratton Business College in San Jose, California.

Luana was married to Dr. Loyall C. Allen from 1967 - 1988, they lived in Chippewa Falls, WI.  She worked for 35 years in California and throughout Chippewa Falls and Eau Claire, WI.  Luana enjoyed reading, crafting and loved to travel.  She especially enjoyed Alaska, Hawaii, Acapulco, Paris, and Holland. Mackinac Island, Michigan was a very special place for her and her family, they spent many wonderful vacations there.

Luana is survived by two beloved daughters, Michelle Allen of Boyceville, WI; Christina (Pieter) Koedijk of Metamora, IL; four precious grandchildren, Gabriella, Callen, Leah and Caleb.  No one could have loved her daughters and grandchildren more than Luana.  She is also survived by one brother, Dr. Allen (Lorna) Tipton of Idaho; niece, Kimberly (John) Sharp; two nephews, Scott (Tiffany) Tipton, Jon Tipton; and many dear cousins.  She was preceded in death by her parents; and dear brother, Jesse (Josephine) Tipton of Oregon in 2018.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to meals on wheels.

Cremation has been accorded.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.  Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is assisting the family with arrangements.
