Obituary Lowell L. Stafford, 71, of East Peoria passed away on November 26, 2011 at 2:45 a.m. at his home in East Peoria. Born June 7, 1940 in Peoria, IL to William F. and Florence Cook Stafford. He married Jenny Sullivan on October 9, 1981 in Door County, WI. Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Tamara Borg, of Naperville, IL and one son Benjamin (Flordelis) Turner of Ballwin, MO; one brother, Wayne F. (Karen) Stafford of N. Pekin; two sisters Diane D. Dunne and Janice L. Lourgos, both of Pekin; brother-in-law Keith Holloway also of Pekin; and six grandchildren, Garrett and Grant Borg, Sam, Sienna, Spencer and Halle Turner. Lowell was preceded in death by his parents, sister Carol J. Holloway and brother-in-law Dave Dunne. Lowell was a 1958 graduate of East Peoria High School and received a Bachelor of Science in Business from Bradley University. He was a Senior Claims Adjuster for Pekin Insurance and retired in 2001 after 35 years of service. He enjoyed sporting events, playing slow-pitch softball, fishing, traveling, especially time spent in Door County. But most of all enjoyed time spent with family and friends. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in East Peoria on Saturday, December 3, 2011, at 11 a.m. Pastor Josh Trueblood will officiate. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. prior to the service. Cremation rites will be accorded and burial will take place at a later date.
