Obituary Washington- Mary Louise Rowland, 63 of Washington, passed away at 6:00 AM on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at her home. Louise was born on August 28, 1949 in Mayfield, KY to the late Joseph M. and Rose V. (Rowe) Lawrence. Louise married Danny J. Rowland on July 4, 1970 in Peoria Heights, IL. He survives. Also surviving are two sons, Joey Rowland of Morton and Paul (Brandy) Rowland of East Peoria; a daughter, Rebecca Rowland of Washington; five grandchildren, Tara, Nathan, Josh, Kaden and Ryder; a sister, Mae Edgcomb of Peoria Heights; a brother Joseph (Margaret) Lawrence of Peoria. Louise was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Jerry Lawrence and three sisters, Norma Price, Ruth Ann Pierce and Sue Pierce. Louise had a deep Catholic faith and volunteered for many years at Holy Family Catholic Church in Peoria. She has a vast collection of angels and statues of the Virgin Mary. Louise also enjoyed country music. Funeral Mass will take place at 12:00 Noon on Monday, April 29, 2013 at Holy Family Catholic Church 3720 N. Sterling Ave. Fr. Anthony Labedis, OFM Conv. will officiate. Honoring Louise's wishes cremation rites will be accorded following Mass. Visitation will take place on Monday at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington.
